Welcome to the CIRCULARITY MASTERCLASS, created in partnership with Graduate Fashion Foundation & Zalando
This project is divided into five lessons. You will embark on a comprehensive research journey, immersing yourself in the fashion industry’s current issues and exploring forward-thinking processes related to circularity.
You will analyse the environmental impact of the industry, such as waste generation, pollution, and depletion of resources, then apply your learnings to a competition brief at the end of the course. You’ll also receive a downloadable certificate of completion at the end of the programme!
Masterclass STRUCTURE
LESSON 1: CIRCULARITY THINKING
The competition brief and the masterclass are explained. This lesson will introduce and get you excited about circularity in the fashion industry.
LESSON 2: TEXTILES
We will explore the initial stages of circular garment design in greater detail.
LESSON 3: MANUFACTURING
We will delve into the fascinating world of construction and manufacturing in the fashion industry.
LESSON 4: USING CIRCULAR IDEAS
We will review the main points that we have covered in lessons 1, 2 and 3.
LESSON 5: INNOVATION AND DESIGN
We will witness your ideas and concepts coming to life for your competition submission. On the next page, you will find a reminder of the competition and how to submit your entry.
